Dreamer - 2009 Sorrel Overo Pintaloosa Mare, 14.3 Hands
Gable Stables
Dreamer is a sweet 9 year old, 14.3 hand, solidly-built, paint/appaloosa cross. She is characteristically an overo paint but she also has some appaloosa markers. My family has been riding her this spring and we have really enjoyed her. She belongs to our friend who has a small ranch. Dreamer was raised on the ranch and her dam, the appaloosa side of her breeding, was a high school rodeo, ranching and horse-of-a-lifetime for her owner. Dreamer is a solid citizen like her dam and was specifically raised and trained for 4H but her teen rider lost interest. Dreamer has been sitting the last 2 years for the most part so she came to us for a tune up and to find a home where she will be ridden and enjoyed. We have ridden her out on trails, ponied off her, and have been teaching her to jump. She does have some previous barrel experience so we have been working her back into a calm walk/trotter and smaller jumper. I think this life is very well suited for her temperament. Dreamer is not a firecracker and has a gentle nature. She is extremely good with my kids and will stand for hours while my daughter grooms her. Her owner told me that she can be a little stubborn but I have not experienced that with her, however with beginner riders she did just walk over to the gate and stop. She is good with her feet, shots, and dewormer. She loads, hauls, and ties. This mare has been well-cared for her whole life and has never missed a meal. A good home is the most important thing for Dreamer.
